The Downers Grove North Little North Stars is planned, taught and maintained by current DGN high school students who are studying Child Development. The preschool program coordinator, Mrs. Erin McErlean, educates the high schools students on developmentally appropriate practices and leads the high schoolers to develop lessons to aid in kindergarten readiness and socialization. Mrs. McErlean has ten years of experience in early childhood education.
The Little North Stars program runs four days a week, Tuesday through Friday. The program is offered for Children 3-5 years of age (Must be 3 years of age by September 1). The price is $400.00 for the year with a $125.00 deposit due at this time. The remainder of the monies will be due on the first day of preschool. We follow the DGN high school students schedule and calendar. We will break for district requirements such as state testing in October, Thanksgiving break, and winter break in December. Once we have completed Winter Break and Final Exams, we will start back up in February and end in May.
Your child cannot start the program unless their physical is turned in prior to the start of class and the fees have been paid in full. You will be able to pay the fees here at the Web Store. You will find the health forms needed to begin at your doctor's office. Please make sure your Health Forms are completed and turned in by Mid-September as it is a requirement for LNS Academy. The Web Store will only accept the following forms of payment e-check, debit card or credit card.
