Downers Grove South Pinto's Play Group is taught by high school students who are studying Early Childhood Education. The emphasis of the program is on socialization and children will engage in a variety of activities planned by the high school students. Children will have circle time, stories, songs, art, free play, and so much more during their time. Children do not have to be potty trained to be a part of this program. High school students are trained on diaper-changing procedures.
Pinto’s Play Group runs Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 AM to 10:40 AM. The fall session begins on Monday, October 20, and runs through Tuesday, December 16th. The spring session begins Monday, March 9, and runs through Monday, May 18th. The tuition cost for the entire year is $200.
The pick-up and drop-off are at the main entrance. Please bring your child to the door vestibule at the main entrance and the high school students will walk the children down to the classroom. At the end of the session, high school students will bring children down to the door vestibule at the main entrance. You will then sign your child out. Parents are welcome to come to visit the room! Please just make sure to have a state i.d. to show at the front desk for a visitor’s pass.
Snack will be served during class. Snack typically consists of animal crackers, vanilla wafers, or goldfish and juice (water or ½ juice & ½ water also options). There will be a snack preference sheet sent out in early October where any allergies and what kind of drink you would like your child to have during snack.

To participate in Pinto's Play Group you will need to turn in a physical. Your doctor will have the form at their office. WHEN YOU DROP OFF THE FORM PLEASE DELIVER IT DIRECTLY TO THE NURSE. DO NOT LEAVE AT THE FRONT DESK. Please make sure your Health Forms are completed and turned in by September 23rd. You may also scan and email your health form to me at jjordan@csd99.org.
Additional Information and forms (snack preferences, photo release, & approved drop-off/pick-up) will be provided at the beginning of October to registrants.
